Yoto player

Yoto – a great addition to your Montessori home

Although I am not a big fan of electronic gadget, Yoto is a great addition to our Montessori home.

I was gifted a Yoto player in exchange of an honest review and it has been in use most days since we have it.

My son was 8 when he received it. I though he might be a bit too old but I was wrong!

It's such a long-lasting product and the company keeps adding new stories and accessories that makes the product even better!

What is the Yoto?

The Yoto is an audio player and basically a blue-tooth speaker.

You connect it to an app on your phone and/or your child can use the story cards by themselves.

In addition to the stories, he can have access to podcasts, child's radio, meditations, ambiant noise for bedtime and more!

On a regular basis, they release some new stories and you can listen for free to some samples.

A growing collection of stories:

The stories cater for the very young up to 12 years old. I love that they have so many classic stories such as books from Roald Dhal, Julia Donalson, Eric Carle, and many more.

What I like the most:

We are a bilingual family so I appreciate that they have many stories in French. It's easier for my children to listen to a French story than to read one. The additional language was a big plus for us.

They are many choices for older children. Because my son was already 8 when we received the Yoto, I am happy that the range of stories goes up to 12 years old.

They add new stories all the time so you have lots of choices.

They are many bonuses in the app so you can find more to listen to, including access to free content every month. For example, at the moment you can listen to 3 French stories, there is a preview of 4 books, access to the original mindfulness tracks, kids jokes and nursery rhymes.

Your child can also access several kid's podcast and radio stations as well as some lovely relaxing sleep sounds.

My son loves that he has an extra night light and he likes that it's also  a clock.

Yoto has a dedicated website in the UK  (and in Europe) and if you use this link, it gives you 10% on all their products.
