Montessori Friendly Safari kids books

Jan 3, 2024 - Books - By Carine Robin

Dive into the wonders of the African Savannah with our current Montessori box, specially designed to bring the thrill of safari animals right into your home!

To complement the exciting activities in the box, we have a selection of Montessori-friendly books that are perfect for young explorers.

While a real-life safari might not be on the cards just yet, these books offer a wonderful opportunity to learn about the majestic lions, towering elephants, and graceful giraffes of the Savannah.

They're ideal for sparking curiosity before a zoo visit, or simply for enjoying a journey through the wild from the comfort of your home. So, let's embark on this educational adventure together and discover the animal kingdom of the African Savannah!

Savannah books for toddlers and preschoolers

The Little Book of Safari Animal Sounds: Interactive sound book for young nature enthusiasts: Part of the Little Book of Sounds Series for Children Aged 3 to 8 Years
  • Little world: on Safari: a push-and-pull. A cute and interactive introduction to the Savannah animals.
  • Dear Zoo (not about the wild Savannah but it's a great rhyming book to introduce some wild animals to your toddler)
  • The Ugly five: this book by Julia Donaldson is one of our favourites at home! We team with the ugly five! And some of them are part of the box (in our set of Montessori 3-part cards of Savannah animals). Check these other Montessori friendly books by Julia Donaldson.
  • Little Lion finger puppet book (also elephant, giraffe, ...): I love puppets for toddlers!
  • That's not my lion and there are elephant, giraffe and others!
  • Make and Play: Safari: I love the concept of this one! It's an activity book with 20 safari animal press-out pieces to make your own animals. It contains recipes, play ideas and more around the topic.
  • Safari set: it's a bit similar to the previous one. It's a story book + cut out to make their own animals
  • Stickers safari: Savannah: which toddler or preschooler doesn't like a bunch of stickers (of course, we have stickers in the Montessori box!)
