Best Montessori & parenting podcasts

Do you listen to podcast?

I have to admit, I don't. You see, I am a visual learner. So I need a written support such as a book or the course transcript to look at. Or I need to watch a video. I am not a fan of listening to the radio so podcasts were not for me.

Until my favourite Montessori teacher started one... So I went to listen to the first episode of the Montessori notebook podcast.

I had the pleasure to meet Simone Davies in person at the Montessori conference in London and I love everything she offers to parents and professionals.

So I thought the launch of her podcast was a good opportunity to share other great ones out there.

In no particular order, here are my favourite Montessori and Parenting podcasts.

The Montessori Notebook Podcast with Simone Davies:

In the first episode, Simone talked to her two children and to her ex-husband. They chatted about their Montessori family life.

Child of the Redwood with Aubrey Hargis:

Aubrey has a very calming voice and I love that you can also read the content of the podcast on her blog. Aubrey is a Montessori teacher and homeschools her two sons who are now in the elementary years. One is about to be teenager! Also watch her interview with me here.

Montessori with Jessie McCarthy

Many, many episodes to listen too, including many interviews with Montessori teachers and parents. I like this one about what happens after Montessori.

Baandek Montessori Podcast:

Baandek is a Montessori school based in the USA. The owners are also the authors of a Montessori books series for children. Listen to the podcast here.

The Art of Parenting with Jeanne-Marie Paynel Podcast:

Jeanne-Marie is an experienced Montessori teacher and Parenting coach. In her podcast, she interviews many experts about Montessori, parenting, positive discipline and more. I love this podcast with one of my favourite Montessori blogger, Ted from FredTedandCompany.

The Parenting Junkie Podcast with Avital

I am a big fan of Avital and I watch her Youtube videos. In fact, we were in the same cohort of the Simplicity parenting training! Her podcast is not about Montessori but about parenting in general. I am enjoying her episodes about marriage. Listen here.

How to listen to a Podcast:

So I was pretty clueless about podcasts but basically you just have to choose a podcast player or go directly on the podcast's host website as they also stream from their own website.

So let me know which one is your favourite podcast?
