Montessori House Audit with Jasmine Ong

I had the pleasure to interview Jasmine Ong, from 3 minute Montessori blog, during the Montessori Parenting Conference.

Jasmine and I have met through Social Media. I was lucky enough to meet her in "real life" too. I consider Jasmine as my good friend online and I so wish we were neighbours! There are some people you can relate to straight away and Jasmine is one of them.

One of the things we have in common with Jasmine is our passion for interior design and for uncluttered space and minimalism.

I have to say that she is more talented for interior design than me and her house is very inspiring.

On a regular basis, I visit families and help them to set up a Montessori friendly space. Jasmine does the same in Singapore.

By the way, being organised and minimalist doesn't come naturally to me. I had to work hard on myself to overcome some hoarding tendencies! I talked about my own KonMari process here and how I deal with sorting toys with my children here

In this video, we asked some families to send us pictures of their home and we had fun auditing their space and sharing some advice and tips to make those spaces child-friendly and to encourage independence.

I am planning a similar video about toys and how to choose Montessori friendly toys. I would love it if you would send me some pictures of the toys you are not sure about! I will then give you my opinion and tips in my next video!
